2. Switch the gamertag that’s linked to the Microsoft account that you want to use to the Microsoft account that you created in Step 3.
3. Switch your gamertag to the Microsoft account that you want to use.

Can 2 Xboxes use the same account?

you can only have one console set as home which will then be able to use your games and gold/gamepass on any account on that console, the other console you would need to be signed in to use any content. be better to set child A with gold and purchase games then set child B’s console as child A’s home xbox.
