Can you fish on Jetty Island?
They provide excellent habitat for many species of fish, including Lingcod. A jetty can be a treacherous place during storms, but during fair-weather many anglers travel to our jetties to catch Lingcod, Rockfish, Sea Perch and Salmon.
How do you get to Hat Island Washington?
The Hat Island Ferry, Hat Express, is a private walk-on ferry that travels between the Port of Everett Marina and the Hat Island Marina on Hat Island, just West of Everett. She is primarily used by property owners and invited guests but is also available for charter to the general public.
Are cars allowed on Hat Island?
In addition, Hat Island has its own passenger ferry and bus. Because this is a private island, with roads maintained by the Hat Island Community, cars on the island do not have to have state license plates. Because the island is small and without stores, cars usually just transport people from the ferry to their homes.
Do people live on Hat Island?
About 50 people live there year-round, and another 200-plus visit on weekends and vacations. The island has had a couple of names over the centuries, but now everybody calls it Hat.
