Does Manic Panic amplified need developer?
Does Manic Panic require a developer? No. You use the color straight from the jar. You can mix it with white conditioner to lighten the color, but you do not use a developer like with other dyes.
How long should I leave Manic Panic amplified in my hair?
We generally recommend that you leave the dye on for at least 30 minutes or longer to process. At room temperature, 30 minutes is the average time for Manic Panic Hair Dye to process. Opening the hair cuticle can help the colour to better penetrate the hair strand while it develops.
Does Manic Panic amplified damage hair?
Manic Panic hair dye does not damage hair and contains restorative properties, acting as a conditioner that hydrates and “fills” processed hair. Manic Panic Hair Color should be used exactly as supplied and described on the packaging. Do not add peroxide or other permanent hair colorants.

Amplified™ can last up to 8 weeks on pre-lightened blonde hair. Creamtone™ and pastel shades (like Blue Steel™), typically last 2-3 weeks on platinum blonde hair. Hot Tip: If you’d like to add a few drops of a deeper color to your pastel you can make them last a bit longer!

What’s the difference between regular Manic Panic and Manic Panic amplified?
According to the Manic Panic website, Amplified lasts 30% longer than the original cream formula. Personally, I’ve used both and the Amplified is definitely brighter and lasts a little longer. However, the cream formula made my hair feel a bit softer.

Turns out that there are certain shades of Manic Panic’s High Voltage Hair Colour that glow under black light (H/T Bored Panda). All the dyes are vegan and cruelty free, which is a nice bonus, and can be applied on top of natural hair or added to pre-bleached hair for the best, brightest results.
