Can you massage your abdomen?
In belly or abdominal massage, a gentle massaging movement is used to relax and manipulate the abdominal area. If you’re constipated or having other issues with digestion or abdominal discomfort, belly massage may help.
What does massaging the abdomen do?
Massaging the stomach can relieve constipation and help improve bowel movements and frequency. As the stomach muscles relax with gentle, sustained pressure, the digestive system ‘wakes up’ and gets everything moving.
