What is Sealtite used for?

Originally invented by Anaconda in 1947, Sealtite® is the Trade name for flexible, liquid-tight conduit. It can be found in applications as mundane as an air conditioning whip all the way to nuclear power plants.

How far can you run LFMC?

There are some 6-foot rules relating to LFMC. Section 250.118(6)(d) does not permit LFMC to exceed 6 feet in the same ground return path. Section 230.43(15) limits LFMC to 6 feet between raceways or between raceway and service equipment.

How far can you run liquid tight?

Member. I have an inspector that is adament that Liquid tight flex cannot be longer than three (3) feet. The section he is quoting is an exception to the supports required.

Can liquid tight conduit be buried in concrete?

Yes. 1/2″ through 1″ are listed by UL for direct burial or concrete encasement applications. 1-1/4″ through 2″ do not meet the crush requirements for this installation and are not listed to be direct buried nor encased in concrete.
